Play Pong! The game that launched the initial boom in the video game industry!
Jul 16th, 2007 by Vladimir Flemming
Ever wondered what was the first video arcade game? Well, as every first-one that is a lot of controversy. Some regard Pong as the first one(Pong was release originally as a coin-operated arcade game by Atari Inc. on November 29, 1972) but others have evidence that Computer Space was the first one wich was released by Nutting Associates a year earlier in 1971. Even with this controversy that often appears when we talk about the first-thing-ever in a market or other everybody agrees that Pong was the virst fideo game to achieve widespread popularity in both arcade and home console versions, and launched the initial boom in the video game industry. Greate job Atari!
Guess what! Some nice guys from Sidebar_Pong have released Sidebar Pong Gadget that lets you play Pong on your personal Windows Vista Sidebar. And they made it pretty… i mean… verry hard to win, but they say it’s not impossible. And everybody only needs to concetrate! Another issue that was discussed in the users reviews was that it doesn’t resize and some accused this as being verry annoying :D… but probably it would be too small for you to can play it.
