Everybody loves or hates Windows but the truth is that it is clearly the most used operating system on the Planet! And defenetly one of the most user-friendly!
It was released in 1983 November 10 and sold for $100.00. After that there were anounced: Windows 1.0, Windows 2.0, Windows/386, Windows/286, Windows 3.0 and 3.0a, Windows 3.1, Windows Workgroups 3.1, Windows NT 3.1, Windows Workgroups 3.11, Windows NT 3.5, Windows Workgroups 3.51, Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0, Windows CE 1.0, Windows CE 2.0, Windows 98, Windows CE 2.1, Windows 98 SE, Windows CE 3.0, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows XP 64-Bit Edition, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP 64-Bit Edition 2003, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition 2005, Windows Vista.
Windows 95 for example sold in August 1995 1 Million copies within 4 days. And in 1993 the total number of licensed users of Microsoft Windows was bigger then 25 Million.
